About this

In the rains the Charmadi road is a different place: cloud pouring across the hairpins, streams falling directly onto the road at Alekhan Horatti, and the whole escarpment appearing and vanishing by the minute. A local photographer drives the route with you, stopping where the light is and not where the signboards are. In the dry months the same trip is about the view down to the coast and the raptors riding the ridge. Bring rain cover for yourself and your camera.

Guide optional. Go with a guide or go on your own — entirely your call. It is a public road. What you are paying for, if you pay, is somebody who knows which bend to stop at.

No guide on MaladTrip has listed this one yet, so it cannot be booked here. You can still do it on your own — the details above are what you need. We have described it anyway: it is worth doing, and we would rather tell you it exists than pretend it does not.
