MaladTrip operates this platform. The company is being incorporated; its registered name and address will appear here before MaladTrip takes its first booking.

Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

Stays, experiences, guides and local businesses on MaladTrip are run by independent people and companies in Chikkamagaluru. When you book, your contract for the stay or the activity is with them, not with us. MaladTrip introduces you, takes the payment and passes it on.

That distinction matters when something goes wrong. We are responsible for the platform: the listing you saw, the price you were quoted, the payment you made, and helping you resolve a dispute. We are not the ones cooking your dinner or leading you up Mullayanagiri, and we do not control how they do it.

Listings in our services, food and shops directories are informational. We do not take payment for them and do not vet the businesses beyond a basic review.

You need an account to book. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.

You must be old enough to enter a contract in India to make a booking. One account per person; do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge.

The price on the listing is the price you pay. MaladTrip adds no service fee to your total. MaladTrip is not registered under GST, so no tax is charged on your booking and no tax invoice is issued.

We earn from the other side: MaladTrip keeps a 10% commission out of what most providers are paid. Some categories pay nothing — cab operators, for instance, keep the full fare. Providers see their exact payout before they accept a booking.

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card and UPI details go to them directly and are never stored by MaladTrip.

Every price on the site is in Indian rupees.

A booking is confirmed when the payment succeeds, not when you submit the form. Until then the dates are not held for you.

Cancellations follow the cancellation policy, which is part of these terms. Where a provider cancels on you, we will refund you in full and help you find an alternative, but we cannot compel them to honour a booking.

Providers are paid two days after your stay or activity ends, so that there is time to raise a problem while it can still be fixed.

Only someone who completed a booking can review it, and only once per thing booked. We do not take reviews down because a provider dislikes them. We do remove reviews that are abusive, name private individuals, or are not about the booking.

A provider may reply once to a review, publicly, under it.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, for holding whatever licences, permits and insurance your activity requires, and for the safety of the people you host or guide. Listings are reviewed before they go live; that review is not an endorsement and does not transfer any of that responsibility to us.

Photographs must be of the actual place or activity, and yours to publish. Do not list something you cannot deliver on the dates you have marked as available.

We can suspend a listing or an account that breaks these terms, misleads guests, or creates a safety risk.

Much of what is booked here happens outdoors, in terrain and weather that can be dangerous. Forest permits, gate timings and route closures are set by the Karnataka Forest Department and change without notice. Assess your own fitness honestly, follow your guide, and do not enter restricted areas.

Emergency numbers for the district are at maladtrip.in/emergency, reachable from every page without signing in.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, MaladTrip is not liable for the acts of a host, guide or business you book through us, and our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Bookings already confirmed stay on the terms that applied when you made them.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka.
